To establish Pecos as a premier and capable minority owned General Contractor.
Pecos Construction has a broad base of experience in all types of project delivery methods. Pecos has the expertise and bonding capacity to handle large complex projects ranging from ground up structures to renovations in client occupied spaces. We are creative in our approach to construction project management and performing member of the team regardless of the type of contract we are working under. Our work program includes public and private projects involving ground up structures, additions, interior renovations, historical renovations and complex concrete structures.
2003
On January 1, 2003, Pecos Construction, Ltd. and Pecos Genpar was established in the state of Texas as a minority owned concrete and general contracting company. The initial ownership structure was 55% minority owned and the remaining 45% ownership was held by Hill & Wilkinson Inc. who helped form the partnership with the intent to mentor the minority partners and later relinquish their ownership to create A 100% minority owned construction company. The original logo for Pecos was a building in the shape of a cactus with windows overlooking the desert, the goal being to give the company an identity that represented its southwest location.
2003
Our first office was located at 5601 Bridge Street in Fort Worth, Texas
2003
Dooley Elementary School. This project was a ground-up addition to an existing school.
2004
Park Cities Baptist Church Parking Garage. This project was a very complex underground parking garage.
2010
In 2010 buy-out of the non-minority partners officially began. Pecos was restructured and became Pecos Construction, LLC. The limited Partnership and The Genpar (General Partner Entity) was dissolved. We adopted a new logo to represent a new era in our company.
2010
American Airlines FTA CUP. This project was a ground-up Central Utility Plant that serves the American Airlines Flight Training Academy, Training and Conference Center, and the Southern Reservations Office campuses. Pecos received its first Distinguished Building Award for this project and later this project went on to win the State Outstanding Construction Award.
2013
On December 31, 2012 the balance of the remaining non-minority ownership shares was purchased by the minority partners leaving the Company’s structure as it exists today. On January 1, 2013, Pecos Construction, LLC celebrated its 10 year anniversary by becoming a 100% minority owned company.
2016
Pecos received a Distinguished Building Award for this project. The Southern Reservations Office is our largest project to date.
2019
2019 brought with it a new cleaner, more simple Logo that reflects not only the history of our company, but the history of the name as well. Pecos is the only river that crosses itself and was once the “unofficial” dividing line of our country east to west.
